Tier 3 Visa - UK Work Permit
The Tier 3 visa, of the new 5 tier points based UK immigration system, caters for people immigrating to the UK in order to perform temporary low skilled work.The Tier 3 visa is an employer led process, companies seeking to employ migrants under the Tier 3 visa will first need to try and recruit from within the UK and EU (European Union).
Only when the Skills Advisory Body (SAB) identifies a shortfall that cannot be met from the UK and EU will a Tier 3 visa be granted.
As with other Tiers under the new 5 Tier visa system, a certificate of sponsorship will be required and applications will only be accepted from migrants whose countries have a reciprocal agreement in place with the UK.
Tier 3 visa's will be issued for a maximum of three months and offer no route to permanent residency (indefinite leave to remain).
The Tier 3 visa cannot be switched to another type of visa and make no allowance for dependents and spouses.
